Recipe: Crockpot Pulled Pork Chili

Crock pots are the best.  Even a philistine like myself can cook up some decent tasting stuff.  Plus, it requires minimal work.  Just prep, throw it in the pot, and you have a delicious meal 7-8 hours later.

Here's one of my favorite recipes for chili that I've adapted from this recipe.

What to throw in:

  • 2 pound of pork roast
  • 1 yellow onion
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 yellow bell pepper
  • 3 cups of chopped brocoli
  • 5 garlic cloves
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoons cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 tablespoons of salt
  • 28 ounces of fire roasted tomatoes
  • 14 ounces of tomato sauce
  • avocado for garnish

Chop all that up.  Throw it in.  Cook for 8 hours.
